LT Archives: Vampires!

Welcome to “LT Archives”! We hope this will be an on-going feature on Literary Transgressions wherein we feature some of our favorite posts from our institutional archive (aka: old posts we love). Sometimes, if we’re really on the ball, these archives posts will have a theme. For our inaugural post and in a bit of a pandering move to all of you out there who love literature and vampires (particularly when combined), we bring you our favorite past LT posts about vampires, shiny and otherwise. Let’s start with Twilight:
KT gave Twilight a fair viewing in her review in April 2009, Some Might Call It Dusk.
KT also wrote a great post in November 2008 comparing Twilight to popular literature in the Romantic period, namely Anne Radcliffe’s The Romance of the Forest: Romance and Forests (and maybe a few vampires)
Aside from Twilight, another notable LT look at vampires came in July 2009 when Corey posted about the trendiness of loving vampires: Loving the Undead
There’s your vampire fix for the weekend! Stay tuned for more LT Archives as we uncover more old favorites…and, of course, feel free to discuss vampires in literature, Twilight‘s various merits and demerits, or any of your favorite old posts below.
